Essence Merry Berry Nail Polish Review

Nail polishes has always been the final step to make a statement an complete your look.
This holiday season, I decided to try the Essence's holiday special, the Merry Berry Collection Nail Polish.

Packaging and Pricing
The 8 ml(0.27 fl. oz) polishes are packaged in festive-looking mini glass bottles with golden caps. The brush has nothing special to report on, which, considering its €1,95 price tag, is only to be expected.

Claims

Essence claims the nail polish to be able to give off high gloss for glamorous nails.

Review

The formula of the nail polish did give off a glossy finish to the nails, however, it wasn't the shiniest of nails upon application. The color is certainly opaque, with one coat being enough to display the color's brilliancy. Another coat is not strictly necessary if you have applied a thick first coat, since the difference between one or more coats are not very noticeable.

I have noticed that it wears quite well for the price. The photo above was taken 3 days after the application. A slight chipping on the tips of my nails was observed, but it wasn't anything that was very noticeable. However, it did chipped a little worse on my dominant hand, as naturally, it has more contact. 

To put it to the ultimate test, I wore the polish without any base or top coat during my week-long travel. It has chipped off quite badly by the end of the trip on every single nails. So for longer periods of time, I suggest you to wear at the very least a top coat to protect the polish for a little while longer.

Conclusion

I would definitely wear and buy this polish again, the wear time was reasonable, and I really think that the color payoff was great. On top of that, I thought the colors offered (6 of them were available), was festive and very season-appropriate.
